Videalert expands range of Mobile Enforcement Vehicles with new electric models

Videalert will be demonstrating the latest electric mobile enforcement vehicles on stand CO25 at Traffex 2019. On show will be two unique vehicles, a fully electric car and a fully electric scooter, both of which will shortly be going into service.

This new electric MEV is multi-purpose and will enable councils to enforce a wide range of moving traffic, parking and clean air zone contraventions whilst demonstrating their commitment to reducing emissions.  Videalert has selected the Renault Zoe as the preferred vehicle for this electric enforcement solution although other brands can be used if required.  Each MEV will be equipped with two roof-mounted ANPR cameras and two colour cameras to capture contextual video evidence.  These ONVIF-compliant HD cameras will deliver superior capture rates of up to 98% to dramatically increase productivity and reduce the total cost of ownership.  Significantly, this capture rate is achieved with just a single pass at normal road speeds.

Used in conjunction with the latest video analytics, the Videalert electric MEV will deliver the highest productivity at the lowest operating cost in any traffic environment.  The on-board systems are controlled by the operator manning the vehicle using a dashboard-mounted touchscreen.

Videalert will also be demonstrating the role that its digital video platform can play in the management and enforcement of Clean Air Zones.

Visit Videalert at Traffex 2019 on 2-4 April at Birmingham’s NEC to find out more about the company’s full range of attended, unattended and mobile CCTV enforcement solutions using the same intelligent digital video software platform.
